It’s that time of year again.  Who decides when the decorations come down?  Some say you should keep them up until Twelfth night – the feast of the Epiphany (6 Jan); others take them down as soon as Big Ben has finished chiming to bring in the New Year.   Whatever the day, what do you do with your real tree?  Decorations can be tidied away, cards recycled, gift wrap not so much.  If you have a real tree you can now take them to a number of outlets to be recycled.  The trees are shredded and then made into compost.  Gotherington Nurseries is one of the outlets accepting trees for recycling this year.  Trees can be dropped off in our ‘Treecycle’ area between the 5th and 20th January.
